Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I undergo the Annual Examination and the result of my Chest PA Xray is i hacve a suspicious Right Apicalhaze and suggest to have a ALV Study Correlation. Findings also says that i have a normal heart size. I am now worried because i was hired only two years ago. I already undergo XRay last year and the findings are Normal. Can you explain what may Xray Diagnosis means?!!! Thank You. How did i gain these things?
I can understand your concerns regarding the chest x-ray PA report. Apico lordotic view (ALV) is basically an angle/position from where chest x-ray is taken to look for any changes in the upper lobes of lungs.
It is recommended when there is doubt in chest x-ray PA view regarding any suspicious opacities/haze in the upper lobes.
It may be due to an old, healed, scar tissue or previous infections like tuberculosis or pneumonia.
There is no need to worry and it is only to clear a small doubt of anything wrong in the upper lobes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
